Demolition work has started at Pulse in Almere — the first physical step in turning 4,250 sqm of dated office space into a modern, tenant-ready building.
Last week, demolition work started at Pulse — the office building at Transistorstraat 10 in Almere. Sometimes you have to break a building down before you can build something new in its place.
This is the first physical step after the baseline walkthrough: interior partitions, dated finishes and everything that doesn't belong in the next version of this building come out first. Over the coming months this becomes a modern office building built around what today's tenant actually asks for.
Why demolition comes first
A repositioning doesn't start with the finish that gets photographed — it starts with clearing everything that constrains the new layout. Stripping the building back to its shell gives full control over the floor plan, the services routing, and where light and circulation actually work best, instead of working around decisions made decades ago. It is unglamorous, and it is the step that makes every later decision possible.
What's next
With the space stripped, the redevelopment plan moves into its next phase — 4,250 sqm of office space across six floors, with 109 parking spaces on site. This is still just the beginning.
