Pulse: tiling reaches the fourth floor, terrain cleaning begins

Tile work is now complete up to the fourth floor. Painting continues throughout the building. System ceilings are being installed. And the terrain has had its first proper clean, ahead of the facade next week.

Even through the Dutch construction industry's summer shutdown, Pulse hasn't slowed down. Four workstreams, all moving at once.

  • Tile work is complete up to the fourth floor, and has started on the fifth.
  • Painting is progressing steadily through the entire building.
  • System ceilings, installed by System Flex BV, are going in on the ground floor, the 1st floor, the toilet groups, and the general areas.
  • Cleaning has started on the terrain, with the facade next week.

That aerial shot above says more than the list does. Half the terrain still carrying a summer's worth of dust and grime, half of it pressure washed back to bare pavers. It is a small thing, but it is the kind of detail that decides whether a building looks finished or just occupied.

System ceilings taking shape

System Flex BV has started fitting the ceiling grid across the ground floor, first floor, toilet groups, and general areas. It's unglamorous work, mostly grid and suspension wire right now, but it's what everything else, lighting, sprinklers, finishes, hangs off later.

What's next

Every week gets Pulse closer to delivery. Facade cleaning starts next week, and the building keeps closing in on what it needs to be: 4,250 sqm across six floors, with 109 parking spaces on site.
