Luna: parking area cleaned, access control coming next
The parking area at Luna has been fully cleaned — the first phase of a broader upgrade that adds a barrier and intercom system for real control over who parks on site.
Over the King's Day weekend, work at Luna moved to the parking area — the first phase of a broader upgrade to how the lot is maintained and controlled. The concrete pavement was pressure-washed back to like-new condition and the joints re-filled with sand. A barrier and intercom system are next, giving the building actual control over who parks on site.
Why parking control is part of the value-add
An open, unmanaged parking area is a liability on a multi-tenant office building — anyone can park there, tenants have no guaranteed access, and there is no way to enforce who belongs on site. Adding a barrier and intercom system turns the lot from an open field into a managed asset: tenants get guaranteed spaces, unauthorized use stops, and the building gains a level of control that directly supports the rent roll. This is asset management as much as it is landscaping.
Cleaning first, control second
Sequencing matters here too. Pressure-washing the pavement and re-sanding the joints first means the surface itself is in good condition before the barrier and intercom hardware go in — no point installing new access control on pavement that still looks neglected.
What's next
Since the parking area was cleaned, the facade has also been cleaned and impregnated — no photos were taken of that step, but it is part of the same exterior push described in the previous update. The barrier and intercom installation follows.
Availability of approximately 200 sqm of turn-key office space at Luna remains on track. Further updates as the repositioning progresses.
